The article is about the recent discovery of a three-foot female mummy that was discovered 190 miles southwest of Cairo. They are discovering clay, and glass vassels, coins, anthropoid masks and 14 Greco-Roman tombs. Mahmoud Affifi the Archaeologist that led the dig says the stairways and corridors are so unique and can be dated back to 300 B.C.. In 1996 a group of Egyptian archaeologist discover 17 tombs and 254 buried mummies at the site.
My reaction to the story was that it's amazing that their still discovering buried mummies dating back thousand years ago. It's incredible that their discovering up to 17 tombs and 254 buried mummies at one site alone. The thrill of discovering ancient artifacts is mesmorising, but when their discovering human bodies still in good condition is incredible and by the way it looks theirs a lot more to be mummies to be discovered.
